Before you start
Use a ChatGPT workspace and plan that currently supports custom MCP servers or connectors. Availability and labels can change by plan, workspace, region, and OpenAI rollout. Check OpenAI's current documentation before relying on a particular menu name.
Official compatibility caveat: OpenAI controls which ChatGPT surfaces can add remote MCP servers. If your account does not show a connector or custom MCP option, use the official Help Center for the current availability instead of assuming the feature is enabled.
Connect the server
- Open ChatGPT settings or the workspace area where connectors and integrations are managed. The exact navigation label varies.
- Choose the option to add a custom connector or remote MCP server, if available.

- Save the connection, then enable Zambo for a new or existing conversation when ChatGPT presents the available tools.

Check that it works
Start a conversation and ask ChatGPT to list available Zambo tools, or request a small task that a Zambo tool supports. A completed tool call confirms that the connection is live. If tools do not appear, remove the connection and add the canonical URL again.
