Hosted and local setup
Local proxy quickstart
The currently supported setup connects an AI client to Zambo’s hosted MCP endpoint. The local-proxy demo shown in the README has not been merged or released, so this page does not present it as runnable software.
Local demo status
The README demo files are not yet merged. Its example command, npx -y zambo-agent-cli "audit my landing page", is reference text only; availability and behavior are not confirmed. Do not treat it as a working local proxy or use its output as evidence of execution.
Use the supported hosted connection
- For a no-account smoke test, run the fixed, read-only live demo. It requests a live price and displays the result and receipt returned by that call.
- To connect a supported AI client, follow the install guide or the package’s documented setup command:
npx zambo install
This configures a client for the hosted endpoint https://zambo.dev/mcp; it does not start a local proxy. For a private/local deployment, wait for the proxy implementation and its README demo files to be merged and documented.
Protect data in local logs
Proxy logs may contain full tool arguments and outputs. Treat them as sensitive: avoid sending credentials, private customer data, or other confidential content through a debug session; restrict log access; and remove logs before sharing a reproduction. This warning applies even when the model or provider is local.
Check a receipt separately
A receipt records a particular observation. It does not by itself prove that an external action happened or that the result is correct. Use the browser-only offline check for raw receipt bytes, or the hosted lookup for a saved Zambo record; signature and chain checks remain explicitly unchecked when no verifier or evidence is supplied.
