Cryptographic details

For each step in sequence order, calculate a leaf as SHA-256 of the UTF-8 bytes of its receipt_id.

Calculate each parent as SHA-256 of the raw 32-byte left node concatenated with the raw 32-byte right node. If a level has an odd number of nodes, duplicate its final node. Verify every step receipt independently before comparing the computed root.
