In short
AI agent work verification checks evidence for a recorded action rather than relying only on the agent's summary. A verifiable receipt provides a stable record and an integrity check, but it does not prove that an answer was correct.
Start with the exact claim
Ask whether the agent says it called a tool, saved a result, changed external state, or reached a goal. Each claim has a different evidence boundary. A receipt can support a claim about the recorded execution and observations it contains.
Inspect integrity and limits
Open a verifiable receipt and check its recorded result against the integrity material. A passing check does not certify the quality of the model's reasoning or an outcome that the receipt did not observe.

Frequently asked questions
AI Agent Work Verification
Check the recorded tool call, observed result, time, and receipt integrity. Treat correctness and unobserved outside outcomes as separate questions.
What tools exist to verify AI agent work?
A verifiable receipt checks a saved execution record, a trace shows a path through a system, and an evaluation scores output against a rubric. See the tool comparison.
Can a summary replace a receipt?
No. A summary is a claim. A receipt gives a reviewer a separate record to inspect.
